The BMP3xx is the next generation of sensors from Bosch and represents the upgrade of the BMP280 - with a low height noise of only 0.1 m and the same fast conversion time. And like the previous BMP280, you can use I2C or SPI. For simple, straightforward wiring, you should opt for I2C. If you want to connect a number of sensors without worrying about I2C address collisions, choose SPI.
This sensor has a relative accuracy of 8 Pascal, which corresponds to about ±0.5 metres height (for comparison: the BMP280 has 12 Pascal/ ±1 metre). The datasheet suggests that this sensor is to be used for drones and quadcopters to keep altitude stable, but you could also use it for wearables or any other project that wants to track altitude above sea level. Note that for absolute altitude, you still need to input the barometric pressure at sea level as the weather changes, but this is true for any altitude sensor that uses pressure. You can also measure temperature with ±0.5°C accuracy.
Nice sensor, right? So we've made it easy for you so you can jump straight into your next project. The surface mount sensor is soldered to a PCB and comes with a 3.3V regulator and level shifting, so you can use it with a 3V or 5V logic microcontroller without any worries. Check out the Arduino library to get data in less than 10 minutes!
If you want to avoid soldering, we now also include our Stemma QT connectors (SparkFun Qwiic compatible). With these handy connectors you can simply plug in the sensor, no soldering required! QT cable is not included.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel

Adafruit Feather Boards: Powerful hardware in a compact format
