Product information "Adafruit PT1000 RTD temperature sensor amplifier - MAX31865"
For precise temperature measurements, there is nothing better than a platinum RTD. Resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) are temperature sensors that contain a resistor that changes its resistance value as the temperature changes, basically a type of thermistor.
In this resistance sensor, the resistor is a small platinum strip with a resistance of 1000 ohms at 0°C, hence the name PT1000. You can also use this sensor to measure any type of variable resistance, which has a resistance of around 1 kOhm (but can range from half to double that).
Compared to most NTC/PTC thermistors, the PT resistance thermistor is much more stable and precise (but also more expensive). PT1000s have been used for many years to measure temperature in laboratory and industrial processes and have earned a good reputation for accuracy (better than thermocouples), repeatability and stability.
However, to get this precision and accuracy out of your PT1000 RTD, you need to use an amplifier designed to read the low resistance. Even better is to have an amplifier that can automatically adjust and compensate for the resistance of the lead wires. If you're looking for a great RTD sensor, today is your lucky day because we have a nice Adafruit RTD sensor amplifier with the MAX31865 breakout for use with any 2, 3 or 4-wire PT1000 RTD!
We have several MAXIM thermocouple amplifiers in use and they are great - but thermocouples don't have the best accuracy or precision when the readings need to be as good as possible. The MAX31865 fulfils all your RTD requirements and can even compensate 3 or 4-wire RTDs for better accuracy. Connect it to any microcontroller via SPI and read the resistance ratio via the internal ADC. We have placed a 4300Ω 0.1% resistor on the breakout as a reference resistor. We have a sample code that calculates the temperature for you based on the resistor.
We've even made the breakout 5V compatible, with a 3.3V regulator and level shifting, so you can use it with any Arduino or microcontroller.
Each order comes with an assembled RTD amplifier breakout board. Also included are two 2-pin terminal blocks (to connect to the RTD sensor) and a pin header (to plug into any breadboard or perfboard). A required PT1000 RTD is not included! (But we have it in the shop). Some soldering is required to solder the headers and terminal blocks to the breakout, but this is a simple task with soldering tools.
Please note: This does not include an RTD sensor! Also, the included terminal blocks can be blue or black.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel

Adafruit Feather Boards: Powerful hardware in a compact format
With Adafruit Feather, the hardware specialist from the States also has various powerful development boards in its range, which are essentially equivalent to an Arduino in terms of function. All of these boards are equipped with similar features; among other things, the pin assignment is the same and there are also many parallels when it comes to the microcontrollers and the battery charging properties.
