Product information "Adafruit small induction coil with 10 wireless LEDs, 5V"
Each order contains a driver board (you need a 5 V power supply to power it) and ten miniature LED inductors in different colours (two each in white, blue, yellow, green and red).
Inductive charging is a way of supplying power to a device without a direct cable connection. Most people are familiar with inductive charging from a rechargeable electric toothbrush: you may have noticed that you charge it by plugging it into the holder, but there is no direct plug. These chargers work by taking a transformer and splitting it in half.
In this product, we have a small coil that forms the "primary" side of the charger. Then each individual LED has a smaller coil on the back. When the two are coupled, the current is transferred from the coil to the LED and it lights up. You can have a large number of LEDs that are all in a different 3D space above or below the coil. You can also orientate them differently, but you get the best efficiency/current transfer when the two coils are on top of each other. You can also arrange the LEDs slightly outside the main ring, but even then they won't shine as brightly as in the centre.
They are often used for modelling, toy designs or displays, but we think they also have a lot of potential for art, craft or cosplay. The coil is quite small, so you have about 1 to 3 inches of vertical space to work with.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel
One extremely popular product line from the company's broad portfolio is Adafruit NeoPixel. These nifty LED components come in a wide variety of designs and color temperatures. With the help of an Arduino, a jumper cable and the appropriate software, you can control a NeoPixel ring individually and light up the small LEDs as you wish - either individually or in a specific combination. This way, you can also create your own Vu meter with the versatile LED components. Practical: To make programming Adafruit NeoPixel easier, Adafruit provides an Arduino library as well as a Python library.
Adafruit Feather Boards: Powerful hardware in a compact format
With Adafruit Feather, the hardware specialist from the States also has various powerful development boards in its range, which are essentially equivalent to an Arduino in terms of function. All of these boards are equipped with similar features; among other things, the pin assignment is the same and there are also many parallels when it comes to the microcontrollers and the battery charging properties. In addition, you can also find Feather boards with special devices like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and cellular network connectivity as well as boards with microSD slot in Adafruit's product range.
