Build fountains or plant watering projects with this submersible water pump from our Grow category. It's ideal for beginner projects and super easy to use!
The pump is basically a DC motor that runs on 3V and draws 100mA. When powered, the pump draws water from the side of the plastic housing and pushes it out of the hose connection. The pump must be primed by keeping it in the water at all times. Reversing the polarity does not turn it into a suction pump, it only pumps water!
This pump is not suitable for use with drinking water! It's more for students and artists who want something simple and inexpensive.
You can control the motor with PWM to speed up or slow down the flow rate. Works well with a power transistor (simple on/off) or a motor driver chip like the L293D.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel
