The MKR Therm Shield enables an MKR family board to detect temperatures from a K-type thermocouple and a DS18Bxx digital single-wire sensor. The thermocouple is a type of temperature sensor that offers high accuracy and a wide measurement range. Due to its analogue nature, it requires a specific interface, and this shield uses the digital interface of the MAX31855 thermocouple chip.

Whether you want to control displays or motors, or take measurements using sensors: Arduino always has the ideal hardware component in stock.
By the way, contrary to what is often claimed, Arduino boards cannot be used as a replacement for the Raspberry Pi, because unlike the mini-computer with the raspberry, the Arduino is dependent on an external computer. However, depending on the project, an Arduino board can be used in combination with a Raspberry Pi.
