The C1001 mmWave Human Detection Sensor is an advanced 60GHz radar sensor for precise human detection. Compared to conventional 24GHz sensors, it offers advanced features such as fall detection and sleep monitoring. Using a point-cloud imaging algorithm, it recognises human postures, movements and standstill and reliably monitors vital signs. This makes it particularly suitable for safety and healthcare applications.
The sensor's fall detection function can detect events such as falls and prolonged immobility within a radius of up to 11 metres when mounted at a height of 2.7 metres. This function is particularly useful in elderly care. In sleep mode, the sensor analyses movements, breathing rate and heartbeat from up to 1.5 metres away and summarises the data in a sleep score to provide insights into sleep quality.
For ease of use, the sensor is compatible with ESP32, micro:bit and Arduino UNO and comes with detailed tutorials. These include assembly instructions, pin assignments and sample codes to enable quick setup and use.
