Product information "DFRobot Gravity: Analogue pH sensor / measuring device Pro Kit V2"
As an improved version of the pH Meter pro V1, the second generation of the pH Meter pro significantly improves the precision and user experience. The integrated voltage regulator chip supports the wide voltage range of 3.3~5.5V, which is compatible with 5V and 3.3V main control boards such as Arduino and LattePanda. The output signal filtered by the hardware has low jitter. The software library adopts the two-point calibration method and can automatically detect two standard buffer solutions (4.0 and 7.0), which is simple and convenient. It uses an industrial electrode and has a built-in simple, convenient, practical connection and long service life, very suitable for online monitoring.
This industrial pH combination electrode is made of a sensitive glass membrane with low impedance. It can be used for a wide range of pH measurements, responds quickly and is thermally stable. It has good reproducibility, is difficult to hydrolyse and virtually eliminates the alkali error. The output voltage of the electrode is linear in the pH range from 0 to 14. The reference system, which consists of the Ag/AgCl gel electrolyte salt bridge, has a stable half-cell potential and excellent anti-pollution performance. The ring PTFE membrane is not easy to clog, so the electrode is suitable for long-term online detection.
With this product, the main control board (e.g. Arduino) and the software library, you can quickly build the pH meter, plug it in and get started without welding. DFRobot offers a variety of water quality sensors with standardised size and interface, which not only meet the requirements of various water quality tests, but are also suitable for building a multi-parameter water quality tester yourself. The pH value is a value that measures the acidity or alkalinity of the solution. It is also called the hydrogen ion concentration index. The pH value is a scale for the hydrogen ion activity in a solution. The pH value is used in a variety of ways in medicine, chemistry and agriculture. Normally, the pH value is a number between 0 and 14. Under standard thermodynamic conditions, pH=7 means that the solution is neutral; pH<7 means that the solution is acidic; pH>7 means that the solution is alkaline.
Important notes:
1. The BNC connector and signal conversion board must be kept dry and clean, otherwise the input impedance will be affected, resulting in inaccurate measurement. If it is wet, it must be dried.
2. The signal conversion board must not be placed directly on a wet or semi-conductive surface, otherwise the input impedance will be affected, resulting in inaccurate measurement. It is recommended to fix the signal converter board with a nylon column and to keep a certain distance between the signal converter board and the surface.
3. The sensitive glass bubble in the head of the pH probe should not come into contact with hard materials. Any damage or scratches will cause the electrode to fail.
4. After completing the measurement, disconnect the pH probe from the signal conversion board. The pH probe should not be connected to the signal conversion board for a longer period of time without power supply.
5. The bottle cap of the probe contains a protective liquid (3.3mol/L KCL). Even if the bottle cap is screwed on tightly, some protective liquid may still leak out around the bottle cap and form white crystals. However, as long as there is still protective liquid in the bottle cap, this has no effect on the service life and accuracy of the probe. You can therefore use it without hesitation. It is recommended to pour the white crystals back into the protective liquid in the bottle cap.
