The DFRobot Gravity: I2C HUB module is a distribution board for expanding the I2C interface for microcontroller-based projects. It enables the parallel connection of up to eight I2C devices to a single controller, which facilitates the development of modular and sensor-based applications. Compatible Gravity modules can be connected directly via special Gravity-4P I2C/UART sensor cables, while conventional breakout modules can be integrated via standard jumper cables.
The module serves as a passive interface distribution for I2C communication and is particularly suitable for projects with multiple sensors. Areas of application include IoT systems, data-based acquisition with Arduino or Raspberry Pi as well as robotics-related or educational applications.
