Product information "DFRobot micro:Driver - Driver expansion board for micro:bit"
The micro:bit Driver Expansion Board uses an external I2C drive chip to control motor and servo motor, which only occupies two I2C pins and enables motor and servo dual control without occupying other resources. By using HR8833 motor driver, the maximum continuous operating current is 1.5A, it can drive the common small motor and N20 mini metal motor. Each motor terminal has a positive and negative rotation indicator to identify the motor running direction conveniently, which is very suitable for students and hobbyists to realise small projects. Both the extended GPIO and servo interface use the DFRobot Gravity standard interface, which supports a large number of modules and sensors. The servo interface is directly connected to the Vin power supply, which increases the supply current and allows multiple servos to work simultaneously.
This expansion board supports a power supply from 3.5V to 5.5V. It has a DC 2.1 plug and a connection terminal that can be connected directly to three dry battery boxes. A USB to DC 2.1 adapter cable is included, which can be powered by a power bank, making it more economical and environmentally friendly.
