Product information "DFRobot Non-contact capacitive liquid level sensor for vessels"
This non-contact liquid level sensor is developed based on advanced signal processing technology with a high-speed signal processing chip. It can measure the liquid level of a closed container without the influence of corrosive liquids such as strong acids and alkalis or other contaminants.
How it works
A non-contact liquid level sensor is used to detect whether liquid is present using a water induction capacitor. If no liquid is approaching the sensor, there is a certain static capacitance to earth at the sensor due to the distributed capacitance. As the liquid level slowly rises and approaches the sensor, the parasitic capacitor of the liquid is coupled to the static capacitance, increasing the final capacitance value. The changed capacitance signal is input to the control IC for signal conversion, which converts the changed capacitance value into the change of a certain electrical signal. The degree of deviation can then be recognised and determined by special algorithms. If the change exceeds a threshold value, this means that the liquid level has reached the measuring point.
