The Elecrow Crowtail-Encoder 2.0 module is an incremental encoder that converts the rotary movement of an axis into electrical pulses. These pulses enable digital detection of the angle of rotation and the direction of rotation, either clockwise or anti-clockwise. The module generates 20 pulses per complete revolution and thus offers a fine resolution for position determination.
As an incremental rotary encoder, the module is not subject to any limits regarding the number of rotations, unlike a rotary potentiometer. The output is via two digital signal pins (signal A and signal B), which enables precise angle measurements and direction determination.
