The Elecrow Crowtail- Haptic Motor 2.0 is a motor control module based on the DRV2605 motor driver from Texas Instruments. It has been specially developed for controlling haptic motors, including buzzers and vibration motors. While conventional motor controllers are usually only switched on and off, this module enables precise control of various vibration effects.
Supported effects include gradual vibration ramp-up and ramp-down, click effects, different buzzer intensities and the ability to tune vibrations to a music or audio signal. The module is compatible with two types of vibration motors: LRA (Linear Resonance Actuator) and ERM (Eccentric Rotating Mass).
The module works with a supply voltage of 3V or 5V and supports both round and flat motors measuring 10 x 2.7 mm. It is connected via a crowtail I2C interface and a JST-PH 2.0 4-pin connector, which enables a secure connection and simple implementation.
