Die eBUS Adapter Shield C6 Stick Edition ist eine kompakte Version des eBUS Adapter Shield mit einer um 30 % reduzierten Größe von 42 × 16 mm im USB-Stick-Format. Sie basiert auf dem ESP32-C6 Mikrocontroller in RISC-Architektur und bietet eine reduzierte Auswahl an I/O-Funktionen. Der Adapter ermöglicht die direkte Kommunikation mit eBUS-Systemen in Heizungs-, Lüftungs- und Solaranlagen, wahlweise über integriertes WLAN, USB oder optional über Ethernet mit USR-ES1-Modul. Der Adapter unterstützt sowohl das Standard- als auch das erweiterte ebusd-Protokoll und erfüllt die eBUS-Spezifikationen für Arbitrierung und Stromaufnahme.
Durch den Einsatz eines speziell entwickelten Treibers in der Firmware wird eine minimale Zeitverzögerung gewährleistet. Die galvanische Trennung der Signale erfolgt vollständig ohne Stromaufnahme vom eBUS (Klasse 0 gemäß eBUS-Spezifikation), wodurch angeschlossene Systeme geschützt und nicht belastet werden. Ab Firmware-Version 2025-10-30 kann micro-ebusd direkt auf dem Adapter genutzt werden. Die Daten werden dann bidirektional über MQTT und HTTP zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Konfiguration und Firmware-Updates sind über ein Webinterface (OTA) oder per USB möglich.
Typische Anwendungen umfassen die Einbindung in Smart-Home-Systeme wie Home Assistant, KNX, Node-Red, FHEM und ioBroker. Der Adapter ist CE-konform getestet und bietet neben den Hauptfunktionen die Möglichkeit zum Anschluss weiterer Komponenten wie Sensoren oder Displays.
Der Anschluss an die eBUS-Leitung erfolgt über eine 2-Drahtverbindung ohne Polungsanforderung. Die Stromversorgung wird über USB realisiert, wofür eine Leistung von mindestens 1 Watt erforderlich ist (empfohlen: 2 Watt, z. B. 400 mA bei 5 V).
