Sometimes it just has to be small. For this use case, HiFiBerry has built the DAC+ Zero, which fits perfectly on a Raspberry Pi Zero. Although it does not have the advanced features such as volume control, EEPROM, ultra-low noise control, it still offers very good sound quality and 192kHz/24bit playback.
The board is supplied without spacers and pin header (the pin header is required to mount it on the Raspberry Pi Zero, all other Raspberry Pi boards have the pin header already mounted).
