Product information "M5Stack StickC ToF HAT (VL53L0X)"
The VL53L0X is a new generation Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser ranging module housed in the smallest housing on the market and, unlike conventional technologies, enables accurate distance measurement regardless of the target's reflection. It can measure absolute distances of up to 2 metres, setting new standards in distance measurement and opening the door to numerous new applications. The VL53L0X is equipped with a state-of-the-art SPAD (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) array and features the second generation of ST's patented FlightSenseTM technology. The VL53L0X's 940 nm VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) emitter is invisible to the human eye and, in conjunction with internal physical infrared filters, enables longer ranges, greater immunity to ambient light and better robustness against optical crosstalk from glass.
