Product information "NeoPixel RGBW Mini Button PCB - 10-pack"
These pixels have full 32-bit colour capability (24-bit RGB and then 8-bit white), with PWM handled by the controller chip. Because the LED is so bright, you need less current/power to achieve the desired effects. The driver operates at a constant current, so it's fine if the battery power changes or fluctuates a little.
The NeoPixel is "split", one half is the RGB you know and love, the other half is a white LED with yellow phosphor. Unlit, it resembles a school bus. Switched on they are insanely bright and can be controlled with 8-bit PWM per channel (8 x 4 channels=32-bit colour in total). Great for adding lots of colourful + warm white dots to your project!
Please note that this is RGBW so you need to make sure your NeoPixel controller is set for RGBW and not the standard RGB!
Each pixel draws up to ~70mA (all four RGBW LEDs on for full brightness white). An Arduino can drive up to 350 pixels at 30 FPS (after that it runs out of RAM). With ribbon cable you can string them up to 6" apart (after that you may experience power drops and data errors)
Each order comes with 10 individually controllable pixel buttons.
We have a tutorial that shows wiring, power consumption calculations, sample code to use, etc. for NeoPixel. Please have a look at it! Please note that you will need a NeoPixel library with RGBW support, which is not always available. If you try to control them with a simple "RGB" NeoPixel library, you will get very strange results. Our Adafruit NeoPixel library supports RGBW, but if you use something else, be aware that it may require some hacking. Also, the blue LED element is close to the white phosphor and the light bleeds into it, so blue light will be a mix of white as well.

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel

Adafruit Feather Boards: Powerful hardware in a compact format

Safety instructions
- Always connect the LED to the recommended operating voltage (typically 5V). Excessive voltages can damage the LED.
- Use suitable series resistors or resistors in the data channel to avoid electrical interference and damage to the sensor.
- Ensure correct polarity when connecting to prevent short circuits or damage to the LEDs.
- Avoid overheating the LEDs. Ensure that the LEDs are sufficiently cooled if they are operated at high brightness for long periods.
- LEDs should be protected from moisture, dust or direct sunlight if they are not specifically designed for outdoor use.
- In the event of damage or malfunction, do not use the LED component to avoid short circuits or fire risks.
- Dispose of defective LEDs in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste. LEDs do not belong in household waste.
