The Pimoroni Multi-Sensor Stick combines three different sensors in one compact housing and enables the acquisition of environmental, light and motion data. It can be used in numerous applications, including smart home systems, robotics and IoT projects.
The stick contains the Bosch BME280, which measures temperature, air pressure and humidity. In addition, the Lite-On LTR559 is integrated, which measures both light intensity and proximity. The STMicroelectronics LSM6DS3 is a motion sensor that analyses acceleration and rotational movements and offers functions such as tap and free-fall detection. Two Qwiic/STEMMA QT interfaces at the ends allow easy solderless connection to compatible microcontrollers and development boards.
The compact size and support for common software libraries make the multi-sensor stick suitable for integration into various electronic projects where precise sensor data is required. The sensor is particularly suitable for applications for detecting environmental conditions, motion detection or as part of a more complex sensor network.
