Description
Product information "Raspberry Pi camera HDMI cable adapter"
The manufacturer has successfully tested simple 5 metre HDMI cables, cheap or expensive cables worked just as well. The video signal should show no degradation up to a certain distance (which is yet to be found), beyond this limit the video signal is completely lost. However, no HDMI boosters or HDMI conversion to CAT6 have yet been tested.
Installation instructions
- Installation is simple, but requires precision when placing and tightening the small M2 screws (4mm). To reproduce the assembly shown in the first picture:
- Fit the 60mm flat cable between the camera and the board, pay attention to the picture for the side of the cable; the connectors point away on the extension board and towards the camera.
- Snap in the connections, it helps to have long nails here. This is essential for a good connection.
- Place the boards back to back, the ribbon should form the shape of an "S".
- Using your fingers and possibly tweezers, loosely insert a screw and a spacer. Place another one on the opposite side and tighten it slightly. Then insert the remaining two screws and tighten everything with a small screwdriver and a 4 mm spanner or pliers. Et voila, you're done!
