Product information "seeed Grove - Analogue microphone (MEMS)"
The Grove analogue microphone is based on the Knowles SPU0414HR5H-SB module, which is based on high-performance SiSonic MEMS technology. This technology represents the state of the art in acoustic microsystem technology and is widely used in many types of consumer electronics. MEMS microphones provide an extremely low-noise, low-power, reliable and compact microphone for open-source hardware. They are characterised by improved performance even under difficult conditions.
The module delivers up to 20 dB gain and has very low power consumption as well as maximum radio frequency shielding. It is suitable for use with microcontroller platforms such as Arduino and Raspberry Pi. The Grove-style connector allows for easy "plug and play" and supports a wide range of applications.
The microphone is suitable for applications where sound detection or audio signal capture is required. Typical applications include voice control, simple recording functions, sound activation or noise sensors. It should be noted that the module is primarily used for recognising sounds and not for precise sound recording. For example, it can be used for a sound-controlled lamp, but not as a recording device for sound content.
The product is used for sound detection in projects with microcontrollers. It has a compact design and is easy to integrate. It is used to control devices by sound, for simple speech recognition, for sound measurement or as an input element. The power consumption is low and the module works reliably in a wide temperature range.
