Product information "seeed Grove - Passive buzzer"
Grove - Passive Buzzer is a low-cost, tunable passive buzzer. It is a 3-5V passive buzzer in which different tones can be generated by changing the PWM frequency, creating a so-called "buzzer music" signal. The buzzer can also be used as an alarm in security applications.
Piezo-passive buzzers must be connected to an audio output circuit to generate sounds. The frequency of the generated sound is controllable and the current consumption is low, typically less than 20 mA and not more than 100 mA. Generally, a piezoelectric buzzer is driven by a square wave signal (VP-P). The piezo-passive buzzer is characterised by its compact design, low weight, thin construction, low energy consumption, good reliability and low cost.
Grove - Passive Buzzer can be used in a variety of applications. It is suitable for use in electronic watches, pocket calculators, electronic doorbells and electronic toys. Compatibility with the Grove port enables a simple plug-and-play connection.
Piezo-passive buzzers convert electrical signals into audible tones, whereby the pitch is determined by the frequency of the input signal. Due to its low power consumption, the Grove - Passive Buzzer is particularly suitable for battery-powered applications and projects where energy efficiency plays a role.
