Product information "seeed Grove - Sensor for volume"
The Grove - Loudness Sensor is a module for detecting the volume of ambient noise. It is based on the LM2904 operational amplifier and an integrated microphone. The module receives the audio signal, amplifies and filters it and provides a positive output signal suitable for signal acquisition by an Arduino system. The volume of the output signal depends directly on the intensity of the recorded sound.
The integrated signal path in the module includes double filtering to reduce interference from unwanted signals. In addition, there is a screw potentiometer with which the output gain can be set manually. The module supports a supply voltage in the range from 3.5V to 10V and operates in a frequency range from 50 Hz to 2000 Hz.
The Grove - Loudness Sensor Module is suitable for applications where ambient sound level detection is required, such as environmental monitoring, volume detection in automation systems or for implementing projects that need to respond to sound intensity.
The LM2904 is an operational amplifier that can be operated in a temperature range of -40 °C to 125 °C and has a bandwidth of 1.2 MHz. By using this amplifier, the module achieves stable and reliable signal amplification. The Grove connection enables quick integration into various development environments.
