Product information "seeed Grove - SMD RGB LED (WS2813)"
The Grove - RGB LED (WS2813 Mini) is a full-colour, programmable LED module based on the WS2813 Mini chip. It is equipped with a built-in control circuit in a compact 3535 component format and supports multiple lighting effects through 256 shades of grey per colour, enabling 24-bit colour reproduction of 16,777,216 colour combinations. It is controlled via a dual signal line, which activates the so-called breakpoint resume function. This ensures that if individual LEDs in the signal chain fail, the remaining LEDs continue to function.
The module can be cascaded and can therefore be operated in series with other WS2813 LED components such as Grove LED rings or LED sticks. Thanks to the Grove-compatible interface, the LED can be easily connected to a Seeeduino or an Arduino in combination with a base shield via a Grove cable without soldering.
The module can be used to display complex light patterns or symbolic shapes. For example, it can be used to connect several LED rings in order to realise coherent light installations such as an Olympic ring symbol. Several LEDs can be combined to form any shape as they use the same type of chip and the same power supply.
The LED module is suitable for projects in the fields of lighting, interactive toys, home automation and multi-colour lighting control. It can be easily expanded and integrated into existing Grove systems. The breakpoint resume function improves the reliability of LED chains. Programmable RGB values enable fine colour gradations for visual effects.
The product offers an easy way to create complex lighting scenarios. It is fully compatible with other Grove RGB components and allows flexible expansion through serial connection. Programming is carried out via a Grove interface without additional wiring or soldering.
