Product information "seeed Grove - Tilt Switch"
The Grove - Tilt Switch is a tilt switch based on the SW-200D model. It is a single-axis, tilt-sensitive switch with two balls that make contact with the pins inside the housing when tilted. In the upright position, the balls close the circuit; when tilted, they open it. The switch works as a digital input. The connection is made via the SIG pin, while NC is not used in this module.
The tilt switch is suitable for a wide range of applications, including in automotive technology, communication devices, electrical household appliances and toys. Typical applications include automatic switch-off functions for household appliances, anti-tilt switches for fan heaters and other safety-related applications.
The product is dust-tight, waterproof and gas-tight, which allows it to be used in different environments. It has an electrical service life of over 100,000 switching cycles. The Tilt Switch is integrated as a digital input component in microcontroller or embedded systems and connected via a Grove-compatible connection. The clear separation of contact and non-contact positions enables clear detection of the tilt direction.
The product is suitable for motion or position detection projects. The function is based on two metal balls that interrupt or close the contact when tilted. The sensitivity of the switch ranges from 10° to 170° for the closing angle and 190° to 350° for the opening angle.
