This adapter cable is used to connect two I2C Grove modules to a single I2C trunk connector. It is fully compatible with all I2C Grove modules. The cable allows multiple I2C devices to be connected in parallel to a Grove system. This is particularly useful if more than one I2C device is to be connected to a controller without using separate I2C buses. The Y-cable design allows two end devices to be connected via a common connection point. This means that a single I2C port can effectively be used for two Grove components. The cable is mechanically passive and contains no electronic components for signal processing or level adjustment.
