Product information "Simple water detection sensor with digital output"
Keep wet things wet and dry things dry by recognising when dry things accidentally get wet! This palm-sized, cherry red water sensor is simple and easy to integrate into your wet-dry detection project. It's very easy to use: connect the negative (-) pin to ground, the positive (+) pin to 3 to 5V DC and the output signal pin (S) to your microcontroller. The sensor has a slightly biased transistor connected to two long rows of interlocking traces.
If a little water or condensation gets on the circuit board and touches two of the tracks, the transistor is switched on and sets the output pin to high. The output voltage varies slightly depending on the amount of water, but honestly, we recommend just using it as an "on or off" sensor. Avatar water bending capabilities not included!

Light comes into the dark with Adafruit NeoPixel
One extremely popular product line from the company's broad portfolio is Adafruit NeoPixel. These nifty LED components come in a wide variety of designs and color temperatures. Funktioniert sehr gut mit Rasp...
Funktioniert sehr gut mit Raspberry Pi, aber nur mit 5V, und NICHT mit 3.3V, wie in der Beschreibung steht.
Da soll auch Warnung stehen, dass man den Teil nicht lang im Wasser lassen soll, wenn man testet: die Metalstreifen bekommen dann Salz dran (auf Minus-Streifen) und dann funktioniert es nicht mehr so gut, bis man mit Metalpoliermittel die Streifen poliert. Dann geht wieder gut.
Für den Preis ist es wunderbar. Wir hatten Überschwemmung heute und ich habe Meldung bekommen.
