Product information "SparkFun USB-C Host Shield"
In this version, the USB Type-A connector becomes a USB-C connector, giving users the option to power the shield via the
5V or VIN pins. The USB-C socket also supplies 5V like any normal USB (downward-facing) connection.A four-wire serial interface is used for communication with the host controller chip. The shield therefore connects the hardware SPI pins (D10-13) of the Arduino to the MAX3421E. All SPI signals are sent through a hex converter, which converts them down to 3.3V.
