This low-cost (LC) Teensy Prop Shield is designed for creating light and sound effects on small, hand-held props and portable costumes. This shield features a 2W audio amplifier, fast 5V buffers to drive APA102 LEDs and an 8MB flash memory. This inexpensive board is about the size of a Teensy, just a little longer to allow room for mounting holes and connections for power, speakers and LEDs.

This less expensive prop shield is identical to the standard prop shield except that the motion sensors are removed. Note that this shield can also be used with the Teensy 3.2 and is not limited to use with other "LC" models.

The Teensy Prop Shield has been equipped with a number of nice features. Need an amplifier? The Teensy Prop Shield has one with an output of 2W and is capable of driving 4 or 8 Ohm speakers. In addition, the Prop Shield has 5V buffers to send data to addressable LEDs of the Dotstar or APA102 type. It also has an onboard 8MB flash memory, intended for storing sound clips and images, logging data and many other applications.
