The 7.3 inch E Ink Spectra 6 (E6) Full Colour E-Paper Display is an energy-efficient and high-resolution solution for various applications where a paper-like display is required. It offers a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels and enables the display of colours with high saturation and contrast. The display uses E Ink Spectra 6 technology, which makes it possible to display colours in red, yellow and blue and deliver excellent image quality. The display does not require a backlight as it displays content by reflecting ambient light and continues to display it even after switching off. The low power consumption makes it particularly suitable for applications where a constant power supply is not required.
It is specially designed for use in price tags, shelf labelling and industrial instruments, but can be used in many other areas. Thanks to the passive reflective technology, the display is easy to read in natural light and requires virtually no energy in standby mode.

E-paper displays utilise microcapsule electrophoresis technology. This suspends charged particles in a clear liquid, which move along the sides of the microcapsules when an electric field is applied. E-paper displays can display images and text clearly under lamplight or natural light, do not require backlighting and offer almost a 180° viewing angle.
