The Waveshare ESP32-S3-Touch-LCD-2.8 is a powerful development board equipped with a 2.8-inch capacitive touch screen. It offers comprehensive connectivity through 2.4 GHz WiFi and Bluetooth 5 BLE and integrates versatile interfaces for peripheral devices. The combination of a powerful dual-core processor, a high-resolution display and flexible expansion options makes it ideal for applications such as HMI development and other ESP32-S3 applications.
This development board is based on the ESP32-S3 microcontroller with an Xtensa 32-bit LX7 dual-core processor and a main frequency of up to 240 MHz. It has 512 KB SRAM, 384 KB ROM as well as 16 MB Flash and 8 MB PSRAM for demanding applications. The onboard 2.8-inch IPS display with capacitive touchscreen supports a resolution of 240×320 pixels and 262,000 colours. Thanks to the I2C interface, smooth 5-point touch operation is possible.
The board has a variety of integrated peripherals, including a speaker, a 6-axis sensor (QMI8658), an RTC sensor, a TF card slot and a battery charge management module. With support for flexible clock and power modes, power-saving applications can be easily implemented. The GPIO, UART and I2C interfaces also enable the addition of further peripheral devices.
