The Waveshare LCD1602 I2C Module is a character LCD display with 16 characters in 2 lines. It utilises an I2C interface, requiring only two signal lines to save the controller's IO resources. The module is equipped with a variable backlight and supports an operating voltage of 3.3 V to 5 V. It has the AiP31068 LCD driver and the SN3193 backlight driver.
The I2C interface makes it easy to control the display with microcontrollers and single-board computers with limited IO pins. The variable backlight enables better adaptation to different lighting conditions. The display offers a monochrome display with various colour combinations.
