Der PCIe zu M.2 Adapter mit PoE HAT wurde speziell für den Raspberry Pi 5 entwickelt. Er unterstützt das IEEE 802.3af/at Netzwerkstandard und ermöglicht die Nutzung eines NVMe-Protokoll M.2 Solid State Drives für Hochgeschwindigkeits-Lese- und Schreibvorgänge.
Die Verbindung erfolgt über eine 16-PIN PCIe-Schnittstelle, während der Standard Raspberry Pi 40-PIN GPIO Header stapelbar bleibt, um zusätzliche HATs anzuschließen. Mit der integrierten PoE-Funktion wird der Raspberry Pi über ein Netzwerkkabel sowohl mit Daten als auch mit Strom versorgt.
